Apple CEO Tim Cook, who has led the multi-trillion-dollar company for 13 years, frequently faces questions about how long he plans to remain in his role. In an interview with Wired, Cook addressed this query, expressing his deep connection to the company. He shared that he, “loves this place,” adding that “it’s a privilege of a lifetime to be here.”
‘It’s time’
Despite addressing the question, Apple CEO Tim Cook refrained from providing a definitive timeline for his tenure. Instead, he offered a glimpse into his thought process about stepping down, saying, “I’ll do it until the voice in my head says, ‘It’s time,’ and then I’ll go and focus on what the next chapter looks like.”

Reflecting on his long and impactful journey with Apple, Cook admitted that imagining a life without the company feels almost impossible. He explained that Apple has been at the core of his professional and personal life for so long that it has become inseparable from his identity.

After more than two decades with Apple, Tim Cook emphasized that his passion for the company remains as strong as ever. Reflecting on his journey, which began in 1998, Cook remarked, “My life has been wrapped up in this company since 1998,” underscoring the deep connection between his career and personal growth with Apple.
Under Cook’s leadership, Apple introduced groundbreaking products such as AirPods and the Apple Watch. However, he has also voiced concerns about the growing issue of excessive screen time. “If you’re looking at your phone more than you’re looking in somebody’s eyes, that’s a problem,” he cautioned.
